Experience Matters in Business Financing
Financing is always crucial for a growing business and often requires considerable creativity to obtain. As a business grows it will usually have to tap a variety of different financing sources and use a number of different financing structures to meet its needs. The guidance of an experienced attorney can make all the difference in protecting your interests in complex financial arrangements and agreements. My experience in business financing includes:
- Corporate debt and equity financing
- Business structures and financing
- Project finance
- Leasing and equipment finance
- Start-up and venture capital
- Private placements
- Commercial finance/secured lending
A Record of Success
As Vice President and General Counsel for Citicorp Leasing International, I pioneered Citicorp's leasing and equipment finance activities in Europe and completed more than $500 million in cross-border financing for industrial plant, ships, aircraft and other major items of capital equipment.
Among many corporate financings in which I acted as lead counsel, I represented Raleigh Bicycles in the $35 million refinancing of its U.S. operations and have completed more than $100 million in private placements for U.S. corporations on the London market.
I have also had "real world" entrepreneurial experience as General Counsel, co-founder and a major shareholder in the start-up and development of Tracker Network PLC, a technology company which was taken public on the London Stock Exchange with a market capitalization of $180 million.
