Gordon G. Kaplan has more than 30 years of experience in U.S. and international corporate and business law both in private practice and as vice president/general counsel for major international companies. A member of the bar in California and presently an inactive member in Illinois, and Washington, D.C., he received his B.A. and law degrees from the University of Illinois and continued his post-graduate legal education at George Washington University and the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, University College London. Kaplan was formerly a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. State Department representing U.S. interests at our embassies in Senegal, Mauritania, and Belgium. On assignment in Washington, D.C., he advised on negotiating international agreements for world trade in agricultural commodities. Kaplan has also written widely on international legal and financial matters in leading newspapers and law journals.
